The experience Each Ceremony combined local culture and tradition with the diverse mix of worldwide competitors to create a spectacular introduction to the tournament, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's commitment to international sporting events. The Awards Ceremony and Stage was designed to create a unique and memorable experience for a worldwide broadcast audience, embracing and enforcing FIFA's global presence. The result The Ceremonies featured 440 performers including 250 local volunteers, traditional drummers and dancers, 7 life size Dhow sailing boats, tailor made costumes, banners and silks, a giant 3D football, and a 15m mobile stage. |
